Arduino Fundamentals — Grade 7

Arduino Fundamentals — Grade 7

This hands-on course introduces students to smart systems and automation using Arduino. Each session explores how robots sense, decide, and act — through components like sensors, motors, displays, and wireless communication.

Students build real-world projects such as a digital thermometer, smart fan, RFID lock, and math quiz bot, blending coding, electronics, and creative problem-solving.

What students will be able to do

  • Understand how electrical circuits operate and how current flows through a closed loop
  • Build a light-responsive system that adjusts LED brightness based on ambient light
  • Explain how thermal energy is measured and converted into voltage for sensing
  • Understand how Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) simulates analog voltage
  • Integrate a Bluetooth module with Arduino to form a wireless control system
  • Explain how infrared radiation behaves and how sensors respond to it
  • Apply conditional logic and timing functions
  • Design and build automated access systems
