Arduino Fundamentals — Grade 7
This hands-on course introduces students to smart systems and automation using Arduino. Each session explores how robots sense, decide, and act — through components like sensors, motors, displays, and wireless communication.
Students build real-world projects such as a digital thermometer, smart fan, RFID lock, and math quiz bot, blending coding, electronics, and creative problem-solving.
What students will be able to do
- Understand how electrical circuits operate and how current flows through a closed loop
- Build a light-responsive system that adjusts LED brightness based on ambient light
- Explain how thermal energy is measured and converted into voltage for sensing
- Understand how Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) simulates analog voltage
- Integrate a Bluetooth module with Arduino to form a wireless control system
- Explain how infrared radiation behaves and how sensors respond to it
- Apply conditional logic and timing functions
- Design and build automated access systems
